5280 FELLOWSHIP COMMITMENT

CARVE OUT TIME AND FULLY
COMMIT TO THE EXPERIENCE

FELLOWSHIP GATHERINGS

The 5280 Fellowship is designed to fit the lives of full-time working professionals, outside of traditional workday hours. However, the time commitment is significant. Fellows are asked to attend all Fellowship events; however, accommodations can be made in consultation with the Director. The nine-month Fellowship experience includes several types of learning:

  • Twice per month we read ~25 pages on faith and work integration to discuss them in a 2-hour cohort meeting.
  • Discuss the assigned reading, personal and professional development, and spiritual disciplines in cohort sessions.
  • Monthly we gather for a half-day Saturday teaching session.
    • 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at one of the Denver metro host churches
    • Personal reflection exercises for Fellows
    • Group discussions between Fellows
    • In-depth teaching by 5280 Fellowship staff and/or city leaders
  • We open/close the Fellowship with weekend Retreats in September and May.
    • Focus on relational connection
    • Uninterrupted time for personal formation and rest
    • Overview and practice of spiritual disciplines
    • Teaching discussions on Fellowship themes
  • Each month Fellows practice spiritual disciplines designed to support their life with God through their work — e.g. different types of prayer, silence & solitude, simplicity, gratitude, etc.
  • Fellows can attend up to six Community and Culture dinners where we do Q&A learning with city leaders from across industries and the metro area.

*Candidates can indicate a preferred meeting night and geographic location when applying for the Fellowship. We make every effort to accommodate applicants’ schedules.
